Meh...if you don't like it, then stop buying gas. No demand = lower prices. That's how capitalism works. Supply and demand. Rather than complain every week when gas goes up another 15 cents, do something about it. Buy a motorcycle, ride a bike. Exxon isn't holding a gun to your head forcing you to buy gas. Now, don't go off saying I don't know how bad it hurts to fill up a big tank. I have a pickup that currently costs $110 to fill from empty, a cherry picker that costs about $90, and a crane that costs about $150. I know it hurts, but I adjust my driving habits to maximize my fill-ups. Certain vehicles stay parked most of the time, only to be used when absolutely necessary.

Long story short: stop complaining and do something to change your situation if you don't like it now. It's only going to get worse.

Your argument makes NO sense. 1) I'm slave to gas because that's the technology that I/We depend on to get around. I already buy less of it as is. 2) I OWN and ride a motorcycle already see sig. 3)Stop assuming. 4) My cars are fuel efficient.

I think my argument makes plenty of sense. You're making excuses for yourself. There are millions of people around the world that use a fraction of the gas you do. It is your personal tastes and preferences that dictate you ride a high-powered crotch rocket instead of a moped, drive a mini-ute instead of a Geo Metro. If you really wanted to, you could reduce your oil consumption further, and therefore reduce your dependence on big oil. You choose not to. That's fine, I can totally understand that. But since you choose not to take the extra step, you really have no basis in complaining that it's all "big oil's fault".

The plain and simple truth is you don't want to make those sacrifices. Right now, I don't either. The difference is I am willing to admit it and accept that prices are going higher. You won't or can't, and instead whine about it.

This will be the last post I make in this or any other thread about gas/oil prices. We're all going to argue 'til we're blue in the face, and we're not going to change anyone's mind. I'm done.
