Somebody will probably tell me that it's the Texas heat, but has anyone experienced a low-life cycle on batteries on SVT Contours. I am on my 2nd battery in less than 3 years, just out of the blue it just went out. Wondered if it was a heating problem for those who haven't relocated their batteries to the trunk.

Could be. Could also be alternator voltage regulator on the fritz.

Test the alternator.

Engine running. Voltage should be 14 to 14.5 volts.

My Mystique has a wrapper around the battery, if that's gone it could be the heat.
