WHAT IS THE TOP SPEED FOR A CSVT? REASON I ASK IS BECAUSE I'VE BEEN TOLD 143MPH AND I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY AND I WAS ABLE TO GO 150MPH AND I DID NOT TRY TO GO ANY FASTER BUT I THINK IT CAN GO 160MPH AND MY CAR IS ALL STOCK!ALSO I HOPE TO POST THE VIDEO THAT I GOT OF MY RIDE PULLING IT OFF ,SOON !

Well 143 is that FOrd is saying, now if ford really put a program in all the computer is a diffrent story. For me I got pull till 130 then it seems to take forever to go faster, never really pushed my car all the way, ran out of room

Keep in mind on how innaccurate the needle is at high speeds. The needle is somewhere between 5 to 10 mph off at those speeds.

Yeah ... that needle is wrong at speed. I've had mine at about 150 and still had a little room til redline (with chip 73?? according to the OBDII scanner).

140mph @5700rpm in fith gear. Had 4 people in the car!lot more to go.

Whats up fellow SVT'ers. I know for a fact that the needle is by 15mph when it shows 150. I have a uncle that is a cop and he sat 2 miles ahead of me on the highway and he clocked me at 135mph and I flew by him showing 150mph with about 500 rpm's left to go.
The car can go past 160 but like my frien PhatSVT who has a Supercharger on his it's pretty much the only way to pull the HP your car will need to pull that kind of top speed.

No He's a good cop. We had a huge auto-x race this last weekend her in good ol' K.C. you guys should check out the pictures in our branch. . I haven't posted my pictuers yet I'm still getting my scanner fixed  (maybe next time I wont hit it when I can't get it to work right).
