Galveston is cool if you know were to stay. Stay at the Tremont in the Strand. Have a drink on the roof bar and check out the cruise ships. Eat seafood and drink frozen girly drinks all day while wandering through all the shops, bars, etc. Take the trolley to the seawall and go to Fishtails for lunch and buy some crap from the tourist shops.
