Why do you think it is a tranny problem? Did you gap the plugs 0.054 inch? Check/change air filter and fuel filter if necessary. Also check the IMRC, if it bogs down above 3500 RPM or so, it could be failing. Might want to try and save it by relocating it. Any CEL codes?
