I see there was a recall on the precat, but on the Nissan Forums, they say to do the same as you mentioned anyway.

Do you know anything about the engine failures? Seems to be the precats failing is the only major issue... Installing a header on a 4 cylinder will be cake after putting headers on the SVT!
