A couple of nights ago, my A/C pulley had locked up and caused the motor to no longer run due to too much strain on the crank. So, yesterday mornin, I cut the belt off and measured it up without the pulley in the equation and asked the parts store for a 68.5" belt to fit up to the pulleys. He handed it to me and I went out to put it on, it was a decent;y tight fit, but it DID fit.
My car has the extra HP it was missing from the pulley locking up and then some because it is running one pulley less.
If you're car is acting up like this or you just don't want the A/C, I reccomend it. I just couldnt afford the new compressor so I did it this way as a cheap fix. Now I can't wait to get the U/D pulley.
