I did the cut and weld on my 65mm TB using your SVT linkage Mark...
1999 Cougar V6 MTX

Haha, I was originally using that SVT linkage on my 65mm, until SOMEBODY just HAD to have my SVT throttle body!

Ever thought about taking a drill bit and enlarging the hole in the 65mm linkage? 
Also I just used a rubber spacer at the accelerator pedal end to take up the extra cable slack.
Two very simple fixes. 
I posted all of this years ago though...

I suppose I could have done that. But I didn't think the thin plastic walls could really take that.
