It was on a Military website and you could only link your Resume.

A cover letter is your chance to explain anything you couldn't in your resume (for fear of being too verbose). So, if they want specific...give them specific. I'd also recommend making a few comments that show that you know what their company does... i.e. if they're building up their R&D dept. for blah blah blah then you say, "I like R&D in the blah blah blah field."
Hope that helps.

Just let him that you are jason and that means everything Okay keep it 1 page only. Too many pages makes them loose interest in you. Yes get specific as possible but keep it short. It's kinda hard. A huge vocabulary will be really helpful in this task. So write one and have someone else proof read it for you!!
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Just google "cover letter writing" or something of the sorts and you should be able to find plenty of guides on how to do so. I have recently been writing quite a few myself (I dont have one 'generic' one, all written to suit the specific employer). I realize you couldnt, but for everyone else you should always include a cover letter with your resume!
