They're telling me it all came from my ip address. My family doesn't know any of the other info that they would need to do such things, and they have a seperate computer that I never use. Secondly, the items were bid on but never paid for...so i really don't know what is going on. I never gave any of that info to anyone else either.

Paypal told me to get the police involved, but if someone jacked my machine (that i've since reformatted and reused the hard drive in my current computer) then all signs are going to point to me. So it looks like i'm gonna have to just close my paypal/ebay accounts, and eat $700. If paypal is telling me it's my fault, i don't think amex is going to help either.

The worst part is i don't know what other info these person(s) have on me. I checked my other credit card and there is no strange activity. I don't know if i should call them and request a new number though.

Of course this all happens AFTER i spend a buttload of money on my car.



Thats the worst advice I've ever heard. The police can and will use everything you say against you. Then you will need to pay an attorney to represent you in court. The Police aren't on your side.
