Do your research, they pay that much because of taxes. We can complain because all our money is going to oil monopolies who have played us for fools on the commodity markets...Euro's Taxes that pay for amazing roads that are always in great shape and public transportation systems that function for the majority of the population.
Give me high speed rail-lines and a decent public transportations system and I'll sell my car

Right now its $2.91 for regular, but I hear it suposed to jump since they were buying for $78/barell!
The whole E85 is a joke though. Between the millage that you get with E85 vs. Regular your paying about the same.
Biodiesel is where its at. Give me a biodiesel hybirdand we'd be good to go!

That, and the fact that there probably isn't enough cropland to supply the corn to fuel even HALF our daily usage, and that we'd have to quit growing ANYTHING else to reach even that.
Ethanol just isn't a viable long-term solution by itself. It will probably take some combination of Ethanol, Bio-Diesel, and drilling in the Arctic Wildlife Preserve to LESSEN our dependence on foreign oil (I don't think we can ever fully divorce ourselves from them, no matter what people say). I think the greatest potential lies in Bio-Diesel though. Heck, you can make your own for around 80 or 90 cents a gallon.

Just wait until WVO is sold. This whole cheap bio thing won't last too much longer.

you sure dont realize the amount of corn and other crops that is just thrown out than. Youd be dumbfounded.
As for gas prices try paying 102-110 a litre here in canada, at 3.8 litres a gallon thats about 410 CAD a gallon!

Since you can make 20 gal. of Bio w/ 2 gal. of Ethanol and 20 gal. of used fryer grease, at-home costs probably won't go up much. Unless the demand for the grease gets to the point that a restaurant will charge you to haul it off instead of giving it to you for free.
