Apparently Iranian-Americans with dual citizenship are now at risk of being held in Iran if they return there for any reason. A friend's co-worker went back to Iran last year for a family function. No problem returning. He just went back again a few weeks ago, and the Iranian government is now telling him that he has to fulfill his military conscription "obligation" before he can return to the States. My friend's company has been talking to the Iranian ex-pat community, and apparently this is now common.

This and the rest of Iran's recent actions are making it pretty clear that they are trying their hardest to get the whole Islam vs. everyone else final showdown rolling IMO.



At another internet forum, a person stated that he thought the US Soldiers were just as bad or worst than the terrorists. I disagreed. I told him that the terrorists are well trained to attack innocent civilians.

Later at the chat section of the website I told him again what I thought about terrorists. He brought up Reagan and the Iran Contra Affair. I told him that there is a lot of hatred because of cultural and religious differences and that is the problem. The world would be a better place if people could put their religious opinions and cultural differences aside and see other people as being equal. Some Muslims and the KKK teach that they are better than Jewish people. That's what happened during the holocaust, the Germans wanted to exterminate the Jewish people because they believed they were superior. I wish people would see people as being equal. There is just too much hate in the Middle East.

It seems like people would put aside their differences and see people as being equal. I'm a veteran so I don't like terrorists, not because of who they are but because of what they do. Terrorists are always plotting and planning on how to kill more people and attack more targets. They want violence and destruction.
