That's not even close to true with the absolute certainty you have. While its exceedingly unlikely they will ever have a completely clandestine program, its possible to keep the details well hidden and the facilities themselves well protected. What and where do you attack?

There was an old saying among Rand defense analysts (Amrom Katz) in the cold war days that is still true today:

What about the huge Iranian underground facility at Natanz?

Remember the site outside Tehran at Lavizan-Shian? Almost certainly a biological and nuclear weapons laboratory. We didnâ??t know about it until an internal Iranian opposition group was alarmed enough to tell us about it. When the world insisted on a visit, the Iranians finally agreed - but before the UN inspectors arrived, the Iranians had removed all the equipment, demolished the buildings and removed the rubble. They even removed all the walkways and roads and scraped away the top foot or so of dirt.


The first time the world will be completely certain the Iranians posses nuclear weapons is when they use the first one on Israel or on a middle east US military base. Probably delivered in the back of a freight truck.

I am a smart man who has spent the majority of his adult life dealing with nuclear weapons technology in one form or another. The Iranians scare the hell out of me. A blatantly terrorist supporting state in possession of operational nuclear weapons. How about â??Interfere with us and we will detonate a nuclear weapon that we have already located within your capitol City.â?

Mahmoud Ahmedinejad is the 21st century version of Hitler -Controlled by shadowy "religious" figures who have the authority of the radical Islam god and are therefore fully morally justified in whatever they do.

There is nothing that has a higher priority to them than acquiring nuclear weapons â??? they are the perfect tools for pursuing the will of the radical Islam god.
