I've had a similar dream too, or the one time I landed the falling dream. I was dreaming the local Superman ride busted loose from the track at the first hill, and I landed and everything. Woke up later wondering how the hell I remembered it in the first place

Waking up from your own yelling is no fun either.
I rarely remember my dreams until something a few days later triggers a weird feeling. Like taking a left-side offramp on the highway or something. Lately my dreams have been so realistic I have trouble distinguishing them from reality, which makes me question my memories sometimes.

I can still, to this day, hear the boom of the gun going off, and feel the steps on my back as I slid down them. I sat bolt upright in bed, immediately wide awake, and said to myself, "What the hell was that???" Didn't sleep well the rest of the night.
i've had that kinda stuff happen too. Or like when you're about to get hit/shot/stabbed/or hit the ground after falling a great distance and you wake up wight when it's gonna happen with your heart racing.
i also get alot of that sleep paralysis stuff too. freaks me out.

I love the dreams that I have when I get special powers in the dream. Or the ones that you know its a dream, so you change it to your liking. Or the ones that your having... er... most men here can "fill" in the rest of the words.
Last night I had one that I was asked to bring a few of my college books to this lady. But it turns out that she had a different version of the book that I had, so the trip was pointless.

i can see where you are coming from, but that's certainly not the only type of gay man that exists. hell, if i didn't tell anyone i wouldn't be pegged as a gay man .

while, dreaming, in REM sleep, your body is actually paralyzed, you can't move. might have something to do with it

Yeah i know...like it usually happens when i have one of those dreams that jolts me awake, but doesn't completely wake me up...so i go to move and can't - so then i panic and struggle as hard as i can to do something simple like lift my arm and it fades after a few seconds. I know what it is and why it happens but i always get freaked out by it.

From what I understand, if you are waking durring yout REM cycle, that is when you are most likely to remember your dreams. For me it happens way too often. I can almost always remember my dreams, I hate when they are so real that its sometimes hard to disifer them from reality. I hate having a really bad dream and waking up all stressed out! When I was 5, I had a dream that my parents said we were going to Disney World that day, so I woke up early and packed my backpack and was sitting on the couch ready to go at 6:45am. My Mom asked me where I though I was going and I got all mad at her when she told me we weren't going on a Vacation.

i get really cryptic dreams and they are almost always in sequence. almost like a movie playing in my head and each night is different part of that movie. haven't had one in a while, but there was a stretch of time where i got them all too frequently. truly disturbing things ~Andrew
