How many vehicle can carry 6-7 people that get better mileage than that? Even minivans are pretty close in mileage. Despite all the SUV haters, some people want more space than what sedans offer.
Looks nice promising, but price matters. A fully loaded one @33k is different than a fully loaded one at $40k. The Crossover market is getting crowded.

I agree it has the flow od the new CX-7. And the gas millage for an AWD upto 8 passenger vehicle is pretty amazing!
I really like!

the new Buick doesn't look too bad at all. i'm wondering why they bother with the brand. they should use those styling skills for a performance-oriented Pontiac version, an economy-oriented Chevy version, a truck-oriented GMC version, and a luxury-oriented Cadillac version.
i just don't see where Buick fits into the mix.

Isn't it the division-for-really-old-people-who-don't-want-the-odd-styling-of-a-Caddilac?

Just readf an article in MT that says Pontiac is going to be going all RWD and the Torrent will be moving to an entry level GMC.
I don't care for Buick, I think of old grannies driving lesabres!
Shoulda kept Olds instead. I don't know how the usual Rendezous'ers are going to take to this nice looking SUV...

That Buick looks GOOD. How many times will you catch someone saying that? I'm also impressed by the whole 6-speed automatic. GM has finally moved into the modern world of transmissions. I guarantee you that the 6-speed and the variable valve timing that GM is putting so much effort into are what is keeping that SUV's gas mileage to liveable levels. I'm glad to hear that GM finally axed the Trailblazer. It was about time. To be truthful, I reall wish GM would build a couple wagons to replace these SUVs. I think an Impala and G8 wagon wouldn't be too difficult to engineer, and would give people who want just a bit more cargo space the room they need, not to mention the Dodge Magnum really needs an arch rival other than all those Mercedes-Benz's running around.

The Malibu MAXX is the G6/Lumina wagon version. I don't see them flying off the lots although they are amazingly utilitarian.

My cousin has a Malibu Maxx. It's no more utilitarian than my Mazda6 5-door.
