wasnt sure where to post this question so ull post it in here. i was wondering whats the biggest muffler or resonator anyone has put in the center tunnel. im guessing with the heat shielding removed i could fit a decent sized muffler in there. my plan is to stick a dynomax superturbo under there so i could run a single sidepipe.

Super Turbos are crap and flow no better than the stock resonator as they are baffled also.

i used them before and worked ok for me. besides im trying to keep it as quiet as i can with no cats. plus the question wasnt about the muffler but about the space in the center tunnel.

I put in 5x8x18 Magnaflows. They're about an inch shorter than the stock res, and that's about all the tunnel will handle with the heat shield in place. A tricky install as any error will cause rattle or exhaust clunk/impact under the car.

You MIGHT be able to get away with 22" 5x8s, but that'll be REALLY pushin' it.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

i guess ill just wait and see what happens on saturday. i just hope it will fit with the heat shield off. it kinda sucks that teh s.e. doesnt have an exhaust slit in the rear bumper.
