Since I've had the CSVT in February, the engine has consistently made this chincy crackely sound immediately after start up.
I initailly thought it was just the sound the starter made upon rebounding from the flywheel, and thought "thats sounds crappy, must be the way it is". But hearing other duratecs start and not make this shi**y sound has me wondering what it is.
I searched and came across the timing chain rattling at start up in some cases, but I thought the sound could be emitted from the starter.
Does this sound common to anyone?
