typically, you cant sue the government for erroroneous(sp?) conviction. you have to pursue the person who testified and put you there. i doubt there is tons to recover there unfortunately, this happens waay too often, thanks to "new" DNA testing. there have been people who have been released after much longer than this

maybe he'll get a book deal and Oprah will add it to her book of the month club

i dont care if youre homeless with no hands and feet, being locked up in a 5x8 cell for 20 years is f"d up!! and dont forget how rapists (or wrongfully convicted rapists) are treated in prison! he's lucky he made it out alive. think about how many wrongfully accused mutherf'rs are shanked/killed/tortured in prison! i know a chick who works at a local state prison in the mental health ward. she says most end up being killed eventually, even though theyre in "protective custody".
