regardless of what's behind the skin, people will start getting pissed when Toyotas and Hondas start taking podium spots from American brands.

true, but IMO, that shows some of the ignorance in the sport then too. I have to say, I don't enjoy NASCAR as much since its gotten so big. I don't know if its because its on SPEED 23 hrs a day, and 6hr pre-race shows, the reality shows surrounding it, etc. I remember watching it with my dad in the late 80s-mid 90s and enjoying it much more even though I didn't know squat about anything. I enjoy watching the IMSA, GT Touring cars 100X more than NASCAR.

Serious but off-topic question:
Are Toyota and Honda really going to make carburated V8s for NASCAR?

Haha. Definitely?
I think 2-3 years before they start really gettin good winning a good many races. And it will be MANY more before they learn every trick. I don't think they'll ever get "better" except for the fact they have the money to lure over the better drivers. And don't ya think that if they ever do happen to start dominating that the current manufacturers will find ways to have NASCAR put a damper on it.

So do I and they don't ALL suck. Just most. But that doesn't have much to do with NASCAR other than the jap's having money.

It isn't money...it is the people in charge at all levels. The organization and communication and the beaurocratic [censored] is the problem.
