butler pa state boys have a red 92 5.0 mustang gt. and it it built, you can here it a mile away!  they also have a 85 86 ss monte carlo ( dare car ) that the butler county sheriff drives around. i know it is supercharged but have no other ideas to motor..

How do you know its the SS, did the leave the front bumpers on it or badges  I'd like to think its the standard Impala or the Impala LTZ's w/ the 3.9L engine instead of the "hotrod" SS's. BTW I read a review of the Impala SS and they said even though the car can do 154, its NOT safe in doing so

it i dunno if it has the SS badges, but it does have the dual exhaust and all the other appearance features of the SS. I mean, it's a white SS with NYPD vinyl'ed on the side.
Oh, and the exhaust note is unmistakeable.

This is a C5 Z06. It has a fixed roof. There are no removable panels.

I find that hard to believe. 154 ain't that much for a newer car and should not be any more unsafe in an impala as it would be in any other regular street car. If it feels somewhat floaty, well, it is an impala... and by the time you reach 150+ either the crook or the cop will probably have wrecked by then due to operator error, so it doesn't matter if the car can take it.

Well since you heard it then it must be the SS, but the LTZ package w/ the 3.9L has duals as well.
