my father was building decks for a townhouse complex last year.
the building he was working on had the decks 13' off the ground and the roofers decided to start on the same building about a week early.
my father was just starting the decking one day while the roofers were working. one of the roofers slipped, slid down the roof and crashed thru the deck.
he fell 13' to the deck, crashed thru and broke two 2"x10" joists, and then fell another 13' to the cement below.

he broke his collarbone, most of his ribs, both of his legs, his back, and his arm.
last i heard he was in critical condition and was givin about a 10% of living and that if he did live he wuold never walk again.

i shoudl ask my father how he's doing since it has been a few months since i heard anything.
