So last night I decide to go for a run with the dog. It was getting dark out, and I was getting tired as I was finishing the end of approx 4-5 mile run.

So there I am running, with the dog by my side and ipod in hand, when I see a really nice M3 drive by out of the corner of my eye. I turn to get a good look and BAM!

Next thing I know, my foot got caught-up on an uneven patch of sidewalk, which launched me into the air and crashing onto the concrete. I managed to drop the leash, so I wouldn't take the dog down with me, but ended up landing on my ipod, messing up the dispaly, and tearing some skin off my arm and leg.

To add insult to injury, there were a couple kids, maybe 6-8 years old that saw what happened, and I hear "Holy crap, that guy got f^cked-up!"

I couldn't believe these little brats were talking like that! Man my mother would have had soap in my mouth before I even thought of saying that!

Sorry for the pointless post, just thought i'd share since I am bored at work, and sore from the collision

Blame the iPod.

just got home from drinks with some coworkers.
One girl's husband fell 20 feet while he was working in a warehouse - face first!
She said his face was literally shattered. She described the broken bones as the consistency of corn flakes

The cool thing though - we've met him and we would have never known he ever hurt himself like that.
She said he had 9 surgeries to fix his face. They did the procedures through the inside of his mouth so he has no scars on the outside of his face.
damn!

You know, thinking about that- it's a deceptively awkward height, especially in a warehouse. When you get up on a ladder or lift and you can touch the steel beams of the cieling, it gives you an uneasy feeling until youre used to it. I've had a couple close calls but never a face-plant into solid cement! Eesh!
