My g/f's Nissan Sentra is harder to do than the Duratec. I don't mind doing my oil change at all.
Her oil filter is angled the opposite way on the engine, so when you loosen it, out pours the oil from the filter down onto your hand and arm.
At least on the Duratec it's angled the correct way and only a small amount gets onto you or the car.
