Not sure how that would work.  I could make the box out of fiberglass then check with water. But if it is not the right volume then I would have to fix it or even start over.
I read that packing peanuts would allow me to make the correct size and contours that i want in a box while keeping the correct volume of packing peanuts underneath the top of the shell. Then I remove the peanuts after the top fiberglass layer hardens.
