im building a new system and i am having problems with it. I installed everything new, but the video card does not throw a display at all. Everything powers on including the fan on the video card.configuration is
amdx2 4200
Abit KN8SLI
Patrion 2 gigs of ram
Enermax 535 watt power supply
bfg 7600gs

Does the MB have an on board vid card?
Does the system work with another card?
Is you hard drive spinning up?

try a pci video card, i know it's hard to find one but there may actually be a problem with your motherboard.
also try putting the bfg into another computer.

tried to pci video card. no luck. the mobo has the 5v connector but my power supply doesnt . could that be it?

did you just upgrade the motherboard, or did you get a whole new case/power supply/etc?
