cel code is "egr insuficient" and miles are 115k

Try one more cheap thing before changing the EGR. Clean the Throttle Body. Make sure you install a new gasket $2 after cleaning.

Tony, is the TB gasket something you can just pick up at autozone or do you have to go to ford? I have this code too and tried cleaning the TB without removing it. CEL came back

The last time I went to Autozone, they did not have it in stock. He said they usually stock it but ran out. I ended up getting it from Bill Jenkins www.teamfordparts.com.
Make sure you get the correct TB gasket as SVT is different from non-SVT.

cel blinking today. took it to autozone "egr isnsuficient and #4 misfire" guy at autozone said the misfire can be from the egr prob and use better gas (mid grade) after i clean intake and tb. i was just wondering is there anything else that can cause a misfire and what will it do to my engine? parking car for the rest of the week and taking the intake off and cleaning this weekend. also does everything autozone guy said sound about right? ty

Spark Plug, SP gap or SP wire.

Bad for the catalytic converter.
