Yeah, I know it's expensive, but the fact of the matter is that the plastic used is expensive to begin with. Just the raw piece of plastic used to form the air splitter is almost $400 for the sheet. Then after that, there's cutting & prep work for paint, then the paint and finally the "edging" (where they apply a black film around the border of the painted area to keep the paint from lifting off the plastic.)

It's a pretty trick piece but I agree... it's expensive. I did it because I was tired of scraping the spoiler on driveways and having bad valet people ram the spoiler into the curb. The cost of refinishing and repainting the front spoiler is over $400... so I figured that I'd do it once and do everything to make sure I wouldn't have to do it again. (Hence the splitter.)
