I was driving home last night and noticed a shake , got home and found 2 missing lugs and studs on the right front . I think the guy who alligned it over torqued them . Does any one have any expertise in this area ( what special tools or any ), or should I just take it to a mechanic . Thanks , Jason

its actually really easy... pound out the broken stud from the front and insert the new stud from the back.. Throw on a lug nut and start tightening to seat it properly. Once its seated completely - remove the nut, install the wheel and torque as normal.

basically its a 10-15 dealio

It's really easy. Remove the wheel, and then undo the two caliper bolts. Set the caliper on something. Then pull the rotor off and pound out the studs. Stick the new ones in and either use the crank 'em on method or get a toolset made for the job from your typical sources.

Pounding the stud off is probably not the best thing for the wheel bearings. I have used a gear puller in the past, and it works quite well. If you have a gear puller, I recommend you try that first.

Good point. I went nuts on mine because I was already replacing the bearings. If you knock them out, be as gentle on them as you can!
