I've been reading up on it and finagling a few things.
#1 - Determined a paint scheme: Body panels, tank & wheels will be Metallic Charcoal. Frame will be Anthracite. Not going to paint the frame until winter when I tear the whole bike down again.
- Painted the wheels. Going to clear coat them tonight. - Ordered the POR15 tank refurb kit and a bunch of other parts. - Removed the other fork and began assembling tools to dismantle forks. Need SAE15 fork oil and have no idea where to get it! - Started cleaning chain and cogs with moly cleaner/grease.
Will begin reassembly of rear wheel this week with reassembly of front end once the fork oil is located.
Also want to take exhaust off, scrape surface rust, and paint with hi-temp black.
Will attach tank once cleaned and painted.
Then, vroom vrooom.
