For example, Necco wafers and candy hearts are a little bit soft and have LOTS of flavor when they come off the production line, but by the time someone opens a package of them just after Halloween or valentines day, they have lost much of that. (PS: does anyone back there know when the Necco plant on Mass Ave in Cambridge next to MIT closed down?)
