The SRT-4's ride height is supposed to be about 1/2" lower, BFD, but maybe one of the kits they're offering will address that Still when you look at it though, its got the goods the enthusist wants, period! BTW, where in the hell is Ford at with this turbo'd Focus we've been hearing about. Imagine this comparison:

Caliber SRT-4 vs. Cobalt SS stageII vs. Focus ST turbo vs. Saturn ION Redline stage II

I haven't been hearing about one, not for the US anyways.

Europe has had one for a while.

I don't think you'll be seeing a turbocharged focus anytime soon... although there was one driving around at one time.

The SVT Contour is also a size class larger and has amenities the Caliber does not... along with better looks and interior quality.

I don't the caliber srt4 will sell near as good as the neon srt4. Higher price than the neon and worse looks. For the money there are better options. If it had awd, it'd be a different story.

I wonder, even though DCX sold its part in Mitsubishi, could they get ahold of the "old" EVO running gear and fit it into the Calibers. I thought about this because of the upcoming EVO X thats got all new underpinnings, just a thought

The Caliber reminds me of Baby Herman from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, "My problem is I got a 50 year old's lust and a 3 year old's dinky". I saw one driving down the highway and it looks absolutely ridiculous, a Magnum shoved in this tiny little wagon/hatch thing and all pissed off about it.
