CEL. I didn't know the light was on until after I had bought the car (light was covered over, I only noticed it because I was in the passenger seat). Took it to get looked at because it had a problem with emisissions and got quoted $1600 plus taxes  . So the car is just a driveway ornament until I can get money to fix it. Should be good to go very soon tho  . Aaron

I feel bad that so much crap always happens..
What do you have to fix/change for $1600??

Yep I have been having bad luck, hopefully that changes.
The dealership wrote down o2 sensor at the back of engine, MAF (readings were low), replace UIM/LIM gaskets (Vaccum leak they said), clean UIM,Check for clogged cat, Motor vac service.

Minus the Motorvac service.. most people here can help you do those things.. heck I changed the 02 sensors myself and the cleaned UIM and changed the gaskets.. I'm sure if we have a mechanic meet we can all help you out

My biggest fear is doing all that work then it still doesn't pass e-test, I will be one very pissed off person. I like the meet idea I would have to say it will have to be at my house due to the fact my car has no plates and the alternator went bye bye  . Aaron

in my case i need to pull out the clutch/tranny tuesday to see what going on... my car sitting at my father's garage since about 5week now... but since i got 10$ hour labor... i have no other choice then waiting
so i know how you feel...
