I searched and had a bit of trouble finding the size of the nuts that hold the y-pipe to the rear ehaust manifold. Both nuts are rusted to s**t, but the studs on the manifold itself look ok. What size nut should I get to fit the studs, and will any nut work, or is there anything special about them I need to know. Thanks.

this probally won't help much, but I just grabbed a few nuts outta the drawer at the shop and put on the one that fit, so any should work. I also used the same studs. Of course, this is after we caught a welder on fire twice, so I may not be the best person to respond.

I Cant remember for sure but I believe they are either 14 or 15 mm nuts. Not sure of the inside diameter...12mm perhaps?...

Thanks, but I need to know what size nut to look for in the store, not to get it off. They sell nuts in sizes M-12, M-8, etc.

I'm almost certain that the nuts which hold the front manifold to the y-pipe are M10 x 1.5

Mine were rusted insanely as well. The stealership i went to couldn't find them on the computer. Went to a couple stores to try and find one....one guy referred to the nut as a "jam nut" apparently its kind of like a locking nut. My dad works for ford, luckily he was able to find me a replacement at one of the labs.

I think you're right. Will be replacing them in a few minutes, so I'll let you know for sure. Thanks
