Ok I got some codes.NO paper clip needed. It says to run a wire from the negative post to the self test input.

The "paper clip method" connects the STI connector to a ground pin that is available on the EEC TEST connector. Works out the same...

I would be very surprised that a 95 would have two digit codes. They aren't even listed for a Contour in the PCED as possiblities. It would have to be some early production freak or if it has the wrong PCM installed.

However, these numbers make a lot more sense if rearranged into 3 digit codes:

123 - DTC 123 indicates the Throttle Position (TP) sensor signal is greater than the Self-Test maximum value.
539 - DTC 539 indicates the ACCS input to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) was high during KOEO/KOER Self-Test. (Note: TURN A/C to OFF first)
226 - DTC 226 indicates the PCM did not receive the IDM signal from the ICM in Key On Engine Off Self-Test.
558 - DTC 558 indicates a failure in the EGR Vacuum Regulator (EVR) solenoid or circuit. (Note: Make sure it's plugged in)
