Um, where did I say the Evo wasn't a kickass car or that it couldn't beat a Corvette? If I didn't love to drive the thing I wouldn't be getting my buddies to let me track it when we head over to Motorsport Ranch.

What I took exception to was your interpretation of what was happening in the video. You clearly have no clue how track events work.

Yes, the EVO decimates the Corvette in the turns. Always has and always will. And will give most of them a run for their money in the straights too.

But what happens when there's a car on the field that turns better than everyone else? Other drivers are required to let said car pass on the straights. Whether they could out-accelerate it in the straights or not doesn't matter, they have to let him pass if they want to keep on the field and not get called off for obstructing traffic. You come out of the turn, you wave the car past, do not accelerate (or accelerate very little), and move out of the optimal line.

So what you have here is not a video of an Evo passing a bunch of Corvettes like you claim, but a video of an Evo being waved by a bunch of Corvettes most of which aren't the best drivers (that black one wasn't taking the greatest of lines).

They weren't racing when he went by, they're not allowed to. They have to wave him by, maintain their speed, and take the crappy line. The exception is that one point in the clip, where the 'Vette decides not to let him pass, dusts the Evo out of the turn, and shows what he could really do if he wasn't following the rules. On the next lap the 'Vette does what he's supposed to do and lets the Evo by, and you call it "passing a track-prepped 'Vette in the straights" ignoring the fact that that same 'Vette just demonstrated the ability to dust that Evo on the same portion of track.

That's not to say that the Evo couldn't pass them if they all really were racing. It would certainly pass most of that field at the very least because the Evo driver was clearly superior to all the other drivers except the one driving Black/Yellow track-prepped 'Vette. But it wouldn't have blown by them like it had because they waved him past. It would have been a back and forth race, particularly with that one 'Vette which clearly dominate in the straights.

I am glad SIGMA understands tracking and baisic physics....would like to know how a 330WHP evo beats a corvette in the straights from a roll when ours is laying down 336 to the wheels......****morons with the cheaper cars will ALWAYS try to rant about how their car can beat something they cant afford....way to go. And Just FYI... Thats a C6 Z06, no way in hell your car is faster than that.....the guy isnt driving it hard....From your perspective im sure my truck can go out and beat a viper....if hes not driving it hard....
