Talk is cheap over the internet. I can say I have driven this car, driven that car.....but OBVIOUSLY you haven't driven an Evo. If you did you'd understand the gearing difference between the Evo and the Vette makes a BIG difference when it comes to acceleration.
My supposed slow Evo has out-accelerated more than one Vette from 1st-4th gear. The power and torque on the Vette really come into play above that, and I will be the first to admit that, but no street racing stories here.
I personally like the typical "American thinking" going on in this thread. I know it is hard to comprehend a 4 cylinder sedan outperforming a big v8 "supercar"
