How do you pull the fuel pump out of the tank? I have it all but done, but the pump won�t pull out. I have turned it CCW about a 1/8 turn as far as it will go. It won�t pull out. What is the trick? I dont want to break it I am only trying to clean the prefilters. I am stuck in the driveway and I don�t want to have to put it all back and take it to a dealer$$$$$.
you may have to turn it just a little more. i just done mine the other day and i probably turned it ccw about a 1/4 of a turn. just be careful! try turning it back and forth a couple of times. good luck!

It should pull with a little bit of force, you should not feel at all like you will brake something pulling it out. It was difficult to twist though...You may need to go a little further.

Note to reader; the fuel pump does not come out. The whole assembly does, pump, float, housing, all of it. Mine is now out, the pump is beat to crap from me trying to pull it out of the housing. I hope it still works. Inside the housing is filthy.
