I saw this on countdown tonight...this lady handed her keys to the valet guy, and he copied her HOUSE keys and snuck in when she wasn't home, set up a hidden video camera, and hid under the bed for 2 days until he was discovered. The guy got sentenced to 3 years in jail, but WTF would you give a valet your entire set of keys for!?!? Cars even come with valet keys! The Valet worked at the hospital she worked at. I'm sure after seeing the same guy there for months on end it was no big deal.
And 3yrs, this guy should be in jail for 20-yrs since he had planned on murdering and raping her while under the bed. He came prepared and researched his crime.

i didn't notice any mention of murder on the TV, maybe the linked vid was different. I did see that he brought clothes, and condoms. Still, there's people I see every day too - that doesn't mean i'd fork over my house keys to them. Again, I could just be crazy.

I don't get my car Valet'd all that often, but when I do, I just give whatever keys are in it. Not like I am going to bother bringing a spare set with nothing on it. The Escape doesn't have Valet keys either.

I'm not saying bring an extra set...you could just take the car key off.

I usually don't even use them if they are available. If they won't let me park it myself, i'll just go around the block.

Yeah I feel sorry for her. There is no reason you should have to worry about not giving all your keys to a guy doing his job. Yes there are valet keys for this purpose and it's sad that we need them. It is in no way her fault.
