Put a brand new (not reman) alternator in tonight and I'm still getting a battery light above 5k rpm. This is a cry for help, is anyone willing to come out and help me out. I tried just about everything that you guys have suggested. I really cant afford to be taking it to a specialist right now. I need to get this thing back on the road, pleeeeeeaaaassssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Have you tried looking at the battery voltage as you rev it up with a handy volt-o-meter.

Does the car actually start/run/drive fine? Is it charging? Have you checked the battery and connections?
I'm sorry if you went over this stuff but this thread was a little hard to follow...

Starts fine, runs fine, drives fine. Have checked my connections. And have had the battery tested under load.
