thanks again for the links , i have read thru those & many more . let me just comment further to support my post & avoid any possible trivializing on my situation :
- another CEG'er wrote that after he removed the disc-screen ( WHICH IS UNDEBATABLE AS A PROBLEM ) he also had power cutting symptoms caused by the FILTER-SOCK blocking the fuel flow to the pump either by direct contact or further accumulation of "dirt" . i figure that even after cleaning the sock with brake/carb cleaner , if it is possible to clog up again then this mechanics advise to remove the SOCK would be advisable while the vehicle is being attended to !
- taxes in Canada are higher than elsewhere , so a FSVT or CSVT fuel pump from the dealer plus 2-3 hrs labour from the dealer which is where i would bring the car in & all together would total near 700 minimum ! this is way more than the 100 i may give my friend who is a mechanic at Toyota to remove those 2 filers on the FP module & unit .
i welcome further responses !
