I will also say this one last thing: whether you yuppie elite like it or not, NASCAR is the second biggest sport in the US behing the NFL. Deal with it and quit whining. Agree to disagree. Some love NASCAR, some hate it. NASCAR fans won't change the minds of non-NASCAR fans and non-NASCAR fans are too closed minded to pay attention. Go eat yer cavier and drink your Perrier, and let us NASCAR fans have our fun eating brats, drinking beer, and screaming for our favorite driver(S), yeah I got more than one favorite too, so bite me. I will tell ya what, when you get the cajones to go to Iraq or Afghanistan, and tell that soldier who gets up at 3 or 4 am to watch a NASCAR race live on Armed Forces Network TV that they are stupid and classless for watching it, then come see me. I highly doubt that will happen though. Face it, NASCAR is loved by all different walks of life. Yes, I HAVE seen African Americans at races too, so don't even try and go there on that subject. You may not like it, but ALOT do. Simple as that. Move on with your life instead of wasting time arguing over whether you like NASCAR or not.

I'd like to see a few of you drive a cup car on a few laps, see if you can even maintain minimum speed on the track, let alone handle that car on a road course.
Of course, those that hate on the sport will never like it -- nothing we can do about that, nor do I care. I'm a motorhead, I like all things motorsports related, Nascar included. I just find it rather funny that the haters come out in droves with the same arguments time after time, when all it does it show that they have no idea of the depth of the sport, nor all of the good that comes from it. There is not a more family oriented sport out, AND they support our military in a big way -- class acts, unlike some of the posters here.

who's to say they aren't a redneck? being in the military does not change the fact that you are a redneck or not. i know quite a few cousin humpers that serve in various branches.
and i'm going to wager a guess that not all of the men/women that serve who get up to watch whitetrashcar are fans. moreso, i assert that they are just looking to watch SOMETHING (read: anything) that reminds them of home. be it football, basketball, whitetrashcar, etc...
