So yeah... Back on topic. NASCAR needs to return to it's stock car roots, so Toyota can do nothing but suck as a competitor. I would love to see an Avalon Go up against a Charger SRT-8.

I see a lower percentage than other sports where people are passionate about the actual sport, versus passionate fans of their particular driver. This is a shame, as it could be the catalyst of a new generation of people truly passionate about cars.
You obviously haven't been paying attention to NASCAR lately then. They had a huge thing about a month or two ago about some of the Cup driver, while they love night races, hate the fact that they can't get to the local dirt tracks to see them race that same night because THEY are racing.
Also, when they aren't doing a night race, quite a few of the Cup drivers compete in local dirt track races on nearby tracks, and several Cup drivers actually OWN dirt tracks so they can race there and keep dirt track racing going. So the campaigns are there, you just aren't paying enough attention to see it.
