Not always. Josh's misfire was similar to what I experienced in my Sport. The car idled and accelerated just fine in regular traffic, but get it up to freeway speeds (60-70) and floor it in top gear; the engine bogs and bucks. I'm not even sure you could call it a misfire as much as it was just an "ignition problem." The few times I have experienced a blinking CEL with other people's cars (never my own) was when the misfire was so bad that the car could barely hold idle.

So now some are having good results from plugs other than autolites? I've wondered, as I have a very slight persistent miss that even the magnacores did not cure. I'm also wondering if the cap height on the wires is too long as the car misfires worse when it's wet out.
