is there anyway i can hook them up without cutting wires? if not i have to go that way.

unless there a build in wiring harness for a trailer you have to splice wires ... either do it by hand or use the 3M splice connectors ....

The 3M connectors work well. Put a slice in the gromet in the spare tire well and run then thru there and seal it with a dab of silicone. I put mine on the car at 500 miles and its been on since. No leaks and always worked. I tow at least once a month with mine.
