what dealer is that? dealers in my area don't take anything back if the package is open. i always ask, "how do i know if it will fit if i can't open it?" and they smirk and walk away.

I ordered a car bra from Concord Lincoln Mercury. I asked him to be sure it'd fit my Cougar because of the new bumper design. He checked and said it'd work, and when I got it, it absolutely did not fit. He tried to charge me a restock fee, so we had to argue and bring him out to show him it didn't fit right.

Other time there was an error, I was ordering parts for the GL from Best Ford. We specifically told them we had the 2.0l engine. The parts came and they were for the 2.5l - didn't fit. They tried to charge the restock fee again, so we had to piss and whine about how it was their mistake.

See if Woody had gone straight to Team Ford, none of that would have happened

bill, can i send it back if it doesn't work? ford dealers around here usually don't take opened parts back.

Yes I can take it back. Just be sure to open the box from the bottom. That way it does not screw up the part # label.
