I tried to apply once (the app was killer, list times of employment as well as unemployment, wtf?) but its a good job only if its just right for you. When i was younger, 4-5 hours a day, 5 days a week, round 100$ a week paycheck was great for me for the summer. However I was lying about that, I couldnt work during going to the BGSU so I could only work the summer. I love manual steady labor. and they got decent perks and consistent work shifts\
but the bad:
UNION: they take too much money! 100 bucks a week is standard for a looong time, at least here in ohio. They told us straight up during application, promotion to any level would take years, they said next in line to move from handler to driver ect had 9 years under his belt!!!! once you take a shift, night, evening, morn, or day, you would be stuck for a long time in that shift...
But personally I think it is a great job if you dont mind its downfalls.

Nice.
My kid works at UPS in CT. She does will calls and hold for pick ups.
It's kind of nice when I have to send her a package, I send it "hold for pick up" so when she gets to work her package is waiting for her.
She likes it, the people are nice.

im thinking about putting in an application myself. The guy who delivers to my shop said they are looking for drivers. Starting pay is ok, but he said in 2 years you make top salary which is 70k a year! He said the only requirements are the lifting, and a license with no moving violations for 2 years.

I work for UPS also on the Local sort which is around 5:30pm to 11pm. I do whats called the Small Sort which is sorting envolpes and small packages by zip into bins. Sounds gay but im the only one that does it and i have fun. Iv been there for almost 2 years now making good money for the area i live in.
It is very hard at my place to become a driver. Its pretty easy though to become a cover driver but you dont work everyday which blows. In the "winter" time u do but thats about it. Cover driver pay is 15.75 after you qualify. If like a bunch of drivers walked away or died it would be nice since u could move into a regular drivers spot.

I worked at UPS like 9 years ago. Should have stayed there. Good job, good pay, great benefits.
