A good friend's dad has been with UPS for.. an unknown amount of years. Let's just say over ten years. He's been able to suppport his family of two kids and a wife for at least that long, so I'd say it's -enough- pay, but he's been hurt a few times. From what I hear, getting hurt is real easy on the job.
