Holy...spelling...Batman.
How about some more math:
National average of 12,000 miles per year @ average of 25mpg and $2.60/gal gas (probably a bit cheap).
That's $1248 for gas. Now for a delivery driver that does more in town driving.
50,000 miles @ 18mpg (in a hurry to get there on time!) and $2.60/gal
$7,222 for gas. I reeeally hope you're getting good tips while delivering pizzas.
Anyone remember back when gas was $.99/gal, that was right about when I started driving, I think.
Nat'l average: $475
Pizza guy: $2750
What could you buy for ($1248-$475) $773? A lot!
I think I put about 10K a year on my car. Back when my older sister was playing college sports (Basketball and Volleyball) my parents would take our windstar 150 miles round trip twice a week. I think that thing would go 15-20K miles a year. The Elite is a garage queen and gets 1000 or less per year. The Sable (duratech ) is a garage queen wannabe and gets 5-8K a year.
