I'm with you, took me 3-sittings to get through ND the first time. Supposedly if you went to a small town high-school you understood it better and found it funny.
Ebert gave Nacho Libre 1 1/2 stars and big thumbs down. http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/frontpage

I did, and I thought ND was a riot. The snowboots and the slackjawed expression alone had me giggling at the most odd moments.

I'm definitely going to see it...the last time I saw a preview was in an audience full of mostly adults (20s and up), and people were in TEARS. It's probably one of those you need to see with an audience...I remember watching American Pie by myself and not really getting into it.

the only part of napoleon dynamite that made me laugh was when his uncle hit him in the face with the steak as he was riding his bike. Just the way it flew through the air and bounced off his face was hilarious to me.
the rest of the movie sucked - hard.

+2.
I like williams in his edgier roles. LIke how his standup used to be, had some real punch to it, wasnt all fluff.
I liked him in these films, though im likely missing one or two.... Death to Smoochy, Insomnia, 24 hour photo, What Dreams May Come, The Fisher King (one of my favs - Jeff Daniles is great in it too) I dont care for his slapstick roles. LIke how his standup used to be, had some real

You're missing Dead Poet's Society - one of my favorite movies.
I grew up with him being a kind of slapstick, Disney-like comedian so it was weird to see him as a creepy stalker in One Hour Photo. Haven't seen the rest you mentioned, though I'll be sure to, now.
