Actually as far as I know...the 7M wasn' that bad. The factory specs for the headbolts were 55lbs of torque...not nearly enough. Most people that put on new gaskets and upped the torque spec were fine and there were many high hp 7M (not like the JZ stuff, but still very respectable)
Many manufacturers still use strech type head bolts including the 2jz's.

nobody ever said the 7m was bad its a great motor people underestimate the 7m HIGHLY underestimate it because of the jz series but if you do research you will see the 7m is a very good motor if built and mantained right

theres a trick in bargaining you ask a higher price than you want so when they talk you down you still get the price you wanted for the car so if i were to buy that and talk it down to oh say 40k it would be worth it then its worth it now but for some reason you think diffrent
oh and BTW i wasnt worked up

i did say it was a little over priced our but cars are getting harder and harder to find babied and not modded i wouldnt wanna buy a car modded i dunno if they did the work right who knows how bad it was dogged on or pushed to its limits but prices are going up for them i dont expect you all to know this your not into watching supra prices raise all the time but they are going up and getting harder to find and toyota is about to call off all parts for all years here soon so the price will go up again hell i wish they werent high but it happens.

Worth the money to Supra lovers but that is about it. Even as a future classic it still isn't worth 55k (if you factor in annual costs, and inflation over time).

The guy said $55k FIRM, so under that assumption and if they are as in as high demand as you indicate with rising prices, why would they come down in price at all?
I just can't fathom spending $55k on a 8 year old supra. Where they even that much new? But then again, I am largely indifferent to them, so it just doesn't make sense to me.

they were about 42-45k new so 55 with all the other prices going up and in that condtion is worth it but it does take a supra lover to understand that its worth 55 where as you might not think that
